We’re moving our courses onto a new platform. If you’re still working through a course or lesson, this affects you, and exactly how depends on which course you’re taking.
Here’s what to expect.
Why we’re doing this: we’ve been running courses on two different learning systems since the beginning of 2026. Moving everyone onto a single modern platform means a better experience for students and more options for how we support and improve courses.
New enrollments already happen there, so this update is about finishing the move for everyone still on the old platform.
What You Need to Know
- If you’re still in progress, access closes December 1, 2026. After that date, the old platform will no longer be available for coursework.
- 40-hour students: if you haven’t finished by December 1, you’ll need to restart on the new platform. There’s no checkpoint carry-over for this course.
- 120-hour and 180-hour students: nothing about your path changes. Your progress carries over, and you’ll pick up on the new platform at whichever checkpoint matches where you left off, not from the beginning.
- How checkpoints work: there are two move-over points in each course, at roughly one-third and two-thirds of the way through. You’re placed at the checkpoint at or before your actual progress, so you never skip content you haven’t actually completed.
If you’re taking the 40-Hour Course
Your course stays open on the current platform through December 1, 2026. If you can finish by then, you don’t need to do anything at all. Just keep going as normal.
If you haven’t finished by December 1, your access on the old platform closes, and there’s no checkpoint carry-over for this course. To keep working toward your certificate after that date, you’ll need to join and restart the course on the new platform.
If you’re taking the 120-Hour or 180-Hour Course
Nothing about your path changes, and nothing is forfeited no matter which of these you choose:
- Finish where you are. Your course stays open through December 1, 2026. If you can wrap up by then, no action is needed.
- Request a move to the new platform. Email support@teflhero.com any time, before or after December 1, and we’ll set you up on the new platform at the checkpoint matching your progress (see “How checkpoints work” above). You start at or before where you left off, never ahead of it.
- Do nothing by December 1. Your access on the old platform closes. Your progress isn’t lost, though: we keep a permanent record of exactly where you left off, and you can request the same move whenever you’re ready, even months later. There’s no deadline on that request, only on keeping active access to this version of the course.
If you’ve already completed a course
This doesn’t affect you. Your completion record is safe and your certificate remains valid. There’s nothing you need to do.
