Interac Network places Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) in public schools across Japan on renewable 1-year contracts. ALTs support Japanese teachers of English in the classroom, working Monday to Friday with teaching hours between 8am and 5pm, plus occasional evening or weekend school events.

Requirements

University graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree in any major; at least 12 years of education where English was the language of instruction; professional, flexible, cheerful, and energetic team player.

Benefits

2.4 to 3.0 million yen annual salary; enrollment in National Health or Pension schemes, Employment Insurance, and Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance; 10 paid holidays a year (5 planned), plus breaks during summer and winter school holidays.
